My current MacBook Air M3 only support having 2 external monitors with the lid closed. Would it be possible to just disable the macbook monitor to use 2 external monitors, but with the lid opened? |

No, the lid must be closed so the internal display is fully disconnected and its framebuffer port can be repurposed for an external display. When the display is available in a soft-off state (what the app does), its resources are still dedicated to the built-in display (so it could be waken up). |
