Mirror main monitor and flip for teleprompter #3891
-
I have a large main monitor and a small 10" monitor I use with my teleprompter. Rather than extending the screen (which is what I had done in the past) I want to see if I can make the small monitor a virtual flipped mirror of the main one. In other words I want to see in the teleprompter the same as what I have on my main screen. Can't see to get this to work. |

No need to involve a virtual screen in this setup. Simply use the Stream Display feature and select the small display as target, and then flip the image. Let me know if this does not work. |

Thanks for the quick response.
At the risk of overstaying my welcome, here's my use case:
I'm in Zoom, running an SLR through ecamm live. By using the teleprompter, I can look directly at the person I'm talking to, avoiding the draining disconnect that happens in most online settings where we don't look people in the eye—people really like the way it feels to be seen.
This means that I want to be able to see my zoom screen in the teleprompter window.
BUT
I'm also running the call (breakouts, chat, etc.) from my main screen, where I also want to be able to see the Zoom call.
So having two different screens won't work. I need to mirror them.
For the last two years, I've looked at the smaller screen flipped. It's possible, but a little wearying.
Am I out of luck?
Here's the blog post where I share all my settings for anyone to use…
THANKS

Hi there, this won't work if you are mirroring the screen to the target
display instead of streaming it (as these are mutually exclusive). Turn
the mirroring off and then use "Stream Display".
