It says this is currently in pilot stage for apps nominated by OEMs, but it might be good to get the feature ready for wider rollout.

Is there any update on this and as if this will be included soonish?
I think this would be an awesome addition, and personally it would help me out a lot as I then don't have to first switch apps to download an image first or just have a copy in google photos all the time.

If it would be possible to add full search capabilities including "search by face", this would be great - especially for finding contact photos; it's much easier when I can just get all that person's photos.
