Beets + external editor (Yate)

Hey—

I've imported my existing library into beets (beet import --noautotag -i Music\ Library/*), now I can already see that there's some compilations that have to be cleaned up or artist names that need some tweaking.

I've previously used Yate for that task and I'm wondering if there's a good way to combine beets with tools like that. What would be the recommended way of doing that if I prefer a GUI to edit some things? Can I edit in an external tool then then run a beet import on that album again to "refresh" it?

I've now tried Yate and just edited some tags. Then I ran beet update -a -p <albumname> and it previewed the right changes. Then ran it without -p and it updated the folder structure.

you can use the edit plugin -> https://docs.beets.io/en/latest/plugins/edit.html - or you can use some the application of your choice and as long as the filenames stay the same, you can use `beet update
